Skype has launched a modest update for its Windows Phone 8 app bringing its version number to 2.1.0.241.
The update is more about improving stability and bringing the performance up a notch, than adding new features, but there’s still a lot to cheer about.
The keyboard has been improved with better autocomplete and autocorrect functionality, while the buddies from Windows Live Messenger are now labeled in the People list for easy recognition. Speaking of Windows Live Messenger, Skype has now added toast notifications options for them as well.
You might notice that the integration with the People Hub has temporarily been disabled. That’s because the feature has been causing device instability, but the Skype team assures us that its working closely with the Windows Phone team to resolve it.
